I can usually hear the sound for a few minutes. It sounds like like some kind of fluid or water is splashing around underneath the center console area.. Lowes bruce b down

When you are overheating, how many other vehicles are also overheating. Seems the wrangler rides a fine line a lot of the time. I don't see Jeeps pulled over waiting to cool off. I think most of us are used to seeing vehicles that run 190-210 and the Wrangler is just above that when normal. Thermostat is not that old (about a year) so I replaced the PCV valve which was toast (and quite a pain in the arse). At idle or even low speeds (45-50) it’s fine. But as speed increases the temp goes up. The 3.6L runs hot but 250 is extremely hot. It's probably not the thermostat, or else it would be overheating while driving, too. Check coolant, add if needed, and then look to the fan clutch. With the engine off, spin the fan with your hand pretty hard.5. Additionally, it is possible that your radiator is clogged or dirty, but if that's the case, you're likely to have some overheating. The force of the coolant flowing through the cooling system at highway speeds, especially for the length of time to drive 250 miles, should have forced any air pockets into the top of the radiator.
